AVAILABILITY: Images are available drum scanned at up to 4000 dpi on a Howtek Scanmaster 4500 drum scanner or, scanned at up to 4000 dpi on a Nikon Super Coolscan 4000, or as digital captures and burned to CD or DVD. 

GEOGRAPHIC AREA: U.S. and Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Peru, Ecuador, Chile, Argentina, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Dominica, Antarctica, and Siberia. 

RECENT COVERAGE: We have recently finished providing nearly half of the 2000 images for the first Kaufman Focus Guide: Birds of North America, a new series of beginners field guides to North American animals and plants.   We have finished working on the next two guides in the series: Kaufman Focus Guide: Butterflies of North America, Mammals of North America, and provided the lions share of the images for these guides also. Insects of North America is currently being finished.  

In March 2005 we left the bonds of home behind when we started traveling full time in a fifth wheel trailer and photographing. We have internet access via satellite virtually everywhere we travel or can be reached cell phone most places. We have been traveling the U.S. photographing primarily butterflies, mammals, birds,and insects for the Kaufman Focus Guide series.   Of course, whatever natural history subject appears, we take its picture also.
